Our Story
Mithi Pani (“mee-thee pah-nee”) is Hindi for “sweet water,” which perfectly describes our hand-crafted, globally-flavored, concentrated elixirs.
Mithi Pani was founded in 2020 by father and daughter Uday and Maya Sheth. We both discovered a passion for mixology during our time in quarantine, and combined that with both our engineering/innovation backgrounds and love of travel to bring authentic, worldwide flavors home to our family and friends!
At Mithi Pani, our small-batch elixirs are infused with fresh ingredients, bringing essential tastes of global cuisines directly to your home.
You can use our elixirs to help your cocktails, mocktails, coffees & teas take flight to new tasty adventures!
What’s with the crane?
Our logo is a stylized, origami sarus crane, and it has important meaning in the mission of our startup.
Sarus cranes live in pairs, never separating from their partner for a moment. In Indian culture, they thus embody pure faith and dedication. In Vietnamese culture, seeing a crane is considered a sign of success and good fortune. In Japan, the paper crane is a symbol of peace, love, hope, and healing during challenging times. Personally, Maya has found a sense of calm and joy in folding paper cranes, and has made over 2000 in 2020 so far!
Let our crane remind you that no matter where you are in the world, you are not alone. When we all hold this same intention, we stand for something greater, together.
